Immunization Import Interface

Then Immunization Import Interface (III) imports immunizations delivered in HL7 2.5.1 format into NextGen Ambulatory EHR. This interface runs as a Microsoft Windows service and polls a user-defined directory for files. HL7 files are staged and imports into NextGen Ambulatory EHR are attempted. In addition to the Window Service, there is also an extensive dashboard view for configuring and monitoring imports.

The Immunization Import Interface integrates closely with NextGen Healthcare Information Systems Rosetta product to map patients in an automated fashion. Please see the User Guide below for more information.

Please note that the "III" does not download the HL7 files from the individual registry sources. This connection to and download from the state registries must already be in place or be built internally. The "III" picks up the HL7 files locally only and processes them into NextGen. Please see the Immunization Workflow documentation in the Resources section for more details.
